Five Things for Monday, 10/19

1.  The Redskins, as predicted, lost again, this time to the pathetic Chiefs.  Watching the slow-motion disintegration of my team is just depressing.  The quarterback is benched, and the backup has 30 seconds, down 6, for a miracle win.  Instead, he just gets sacked in the end zone for a safety, game over.  At least he didn’t draw out the suffering.  The coach is relieved of his play-calling duties, which leaves him even more of a lame duck.  Now what?  I’ll tell you: a loss next week, in humiliating fashion, on prime-time Monday night.  Are you ready for some football scrimmage practice embarrassment?

2.  Comment redacted.

3.  November and NaNoWriMo is coming up.  I’m looking forward to finishing my novel and being a novelist.  I’ll bet upwards of 4 people might even read it!  Woo hoo!  I keep hoping my wife will join me in the endeavor but she thinks I’m insane.  I think she’d do awesomely well at it.

4.  I keep having dreams about restaurants and being in them or owning them.  I either need to stop watching so much Food Network or quit my job and go to culinary school.  If I had a million bucks, that’s what I’d do.  Until then, accounting is my gig.  I think I would enjoy cooking more than I enjoy accounting, but it would also be a lot of work and late nights and WORRY.  With accounting, I just need to balance my spreadsheets.  I think I can handle that.

5.  T-minus Jim Zorn Fire Day in 7 days, 10 hours.
